Government

Senior Secondary School (SS1-SS3)
Summary

For every state, there are institutions charged with the responsibility of administering and managing the affairs of the state. Such an institution established for such functions is what we know as Government and this also is the nomenclature for the subject of study.

In studies in Government, the types, structures, and their characteristics are areas of focus and attention. Aligned with the typologies are the relative concepts and ideas that have been developed as functional terms based on the systems adopted. There is also a historical side to the study of government with a particular focus on the different West African States and the development of the institutions of government over time with the prospects and problems of the unfolding democratic structure of African states.
